About Robert Schwinger
Growing up the son of a Methodist minister, the notion of doing what's right and making a positive difference for others was ingrained in me from a young age. But it was thanks to a teacher and mock trial in high school that I discovered a career in law, and later law enforcement, would allow me to do both. I committed myself to academic achievement, graduating from high school top of my class, from the Honors Program at University of Delaware and then from Harvard Law School. My first job was at a large law firm in commercial litigation, then as a litigator for another firm which was starting their litigation practice. After five years of law practice, I was accepted as a Special Agent with the FBI in field offices and FBI Headquarters investigating and managing a variety of violations, predominantly white collar/financial crimes/ public corruption. After a great career with the FBI, I joined Florida Blue Cross Blue Shield heading up fraud investigations.Throughout my law enforcement career, I have leveraged deep investigative and team leadership skills to manage complex fraud, white collar and financial crimes. I’ve been appointed to address a wide range of operational and investigative issues, earned FBI Quality Service Awards with “Exceptional” ratings, and built and led an investigative team at Florida BCBS. By blending strategic thinking, analytic abilities, and business savvy with my early legal career, Harvard J.D., Top Secret clearance and personal and professional standards I deliver in key areas.
