• Rewrote portions of the Tobacco Compliance System (TCS) in VB and created six new reports in SSRS as part of a self-directed revamp of the TCS Reporting application upgrading from a SSRS precursor tool (MS Report Writer). Developed a brand new annual load process in SSIS automating what had been in prior years a manual, trial and error, file-based approach. In the process, resolved long standing data quality issues on the database and tightened the editing of data entered via the application which was causing many of the data quality issues. Received accolades from the team of inspectors using the system turning TCS and TCS Reports into a team asset.• Provided support for the Billing Control System (VB.Net), the Affirmative Action Logging (VB.Net). Developed or made fixes to many SSRS reports we use for reporting purposes in the department.• Participated as a technical team member in the project to bring in a new software package (Fei’s WITS system) to replace the existing Avatar application used by our department to support our state-owned, inpatient facilities. Built multiple SSRS reports to move reporting functions over to the new system.• Passed the examination for the Information Technology Analyst 3 position in the State of Connecticut.

• Provided consulting services to help select and implement a software package that will automate relationship management and lease documentation functions in an equipment leasing company leading to increased sales revenue and increased documentation throughput at current staff levels.• Led the effort to define evaluation criteria to select the software to be used. Data was converted and cleansed from MS Excel and Access sources. The new system under Edge was successfully implemented with minimal impact to business during the busiest part of their business calendar year.• Saved the company $88,000 in implementation costs by employing more cost effective insourced labor versus outsourced vendor labor.

Provided consulting services to help resolve data and interface issues in the conversion of Syteline software to the next version.• Consulted with and taught staff MS SQL Server skills needed to diagnose and resolve data issues.
