Lead quantitative investment analysis and systematic investment strategies, primarily in Python, Pandas, & Numpy.o Designed and back-tested systematic strategies that the fund currently employs including: Value and momentum equity strategies back-tested on a dataset of 17,000 equities that I constructed and cleaned, using market-cap weights and 6-month rebalance cycles; Sector specific strategies for consumer-staples and commodities equities; Currency strategies based on excess carry, PPP, and momentum, back-tested on data since the 1970s.o Set-up Git repositories to manage version control and separate production and development branches.o Built analysis, back-testing, visualisation tools, and data libraries from scratch, accelerating processing with Numba.o Automated Bloomberg and CapIQ data collection, processing, and storage systems, which are used daily to visualise markets and monitor trading signals. e.g. expected equity returns given valuation and momentum.Created SQL, VBA, Excel, C#, & Python based fund reporting infrastructure and trade management systems:o Wrote stored procedures and functions in SQL to monitor fund performance and track the portfolio. Scheduled these processes using the SQL Server Agent with reports emailed out using C# and Python. o Built Excel & VBA based portals that researchers use to upload trade orders to SQL prior to execution.
