The main strategy behind the project was cost reduction; achieved by applying for and receiving Foreign Trade Zone Status (FTZ). This strategy did result in significant cost reductions, while maintaining high levels of Customer Satisfaction.Responsible for the Planning and Procurement department, maintaining adequate inventory at lowest burdened cost to provide exceptional customer service, while endorsing high inventory turns. Main vendors, managed and visited, are located in Japan, Vietnam, and China. This Maquiladora consisted of 60 laborers operating wave solder machines, creating wiring harnesses, and sub-assemblies. These items would than be shipped back to main branch for final assembly.
