I manage and trained a global team of engineers and drafters. I collected requirements from clients who need extra engineering resources and communicated those needs to a pool of drafters and engineers located in different parts of the world. We executed engineering contacts for various companies though out the United States.

Designed and constructed new additions to home. Designed and built custom cabinets. tiled kitchen as well as kitchen cabinets. perform many handyman duties such as electrical work Plumbing and miscellaneous task for homeowners around the Katy area.

I created detailed part and assembly drawings including all relevant dimensions, tolerances, surface finishes, and formats using SolidWorks. These drawings were used to machine and manufacture the parts and assemblies that make up a drilling tool used in the oilfield. This position also involved uploading and maintaining all parts, drawings, assemblies, specifications, BOMs, etc… in a Product Management Database (PDM). I have great Hands-on mechanical experience as is necessary for prototype assemblies and testing. I worked as a designer drafter for the Pressure Control Group. Primarily Using API standards to configure Blow Out Preventers (BOP) per customer order. I use SolidWorks as a primary tool to design and detail machining prints. I have been apart of the core group of designers setting standards for the company as well as managing and utilizing SolidWorks Product Data Management software Smarteam. The utilization of Smarteam has been instrumental in managing Bill of Material and forecasting material requirements for our many manufacturing locations. Smarteam is also used to manage all of T3’s intellectual property. As a part of the core group of designers, I preformed duties such a training of new drafters and designers, establishing company drafting standards, checking prints as well other documents.

During my stay at Tapco I detailed various types of valves and in a high paced environment to very specific engineering requirements. These valves were used to control the flow of catalyst in refineries all over the world. Most design requirements were meet in three to four days. These task were complete using an information packet supplied by engineers and utilizing PTC Wildfire to create complex models and complete detailed manufacturing prints. Any given valve usually consisted of many types parts including refectory, steel, anchors, and welding. Valves ranged in size from 32 inch inside diameter to 95 inch inside diameter.

In the Expandable Sand Screens group I designed various sizes of the rotary expansion tool for the purpose of expanding down hole sand screen for use in well completions. I utilized many engineering applications primarily Pro-Engineer, and AutoCAD, created detailed prints of components and large assemblies drawings according to ASME Y14.5M GD&T. In the Solid Expandable group I supported two design engineers primarily, as well as other groups within the company. I was group Windchill administrator, responsible for creating and maintaining records in the product data management system, Windchill (PTC’s PDM). I was in charge of Implementation planning of the groups template for assigning part attributes for part creation and structured content. I worked closely with the corporate Windchill administrators in achieving this task. I was the “go-to” guy for Pro-Engineer questions and trouble shooting.

I was employed as a designer /drafter for Subsea drilling and Well Completions/Packers. Using Pro Engineer and Autocad2000 to Model and create drawings for the group based on design intent and project scope. I worked closely with engineers and performed Engineering Change Notifications in SPDM (Sclumberger Product Data Management) System and was part of the team that launched early stages of the new Matrix Manufacturing Data Collection system. I also used my experience as a web master to create team data portals which allowed all members of the group to gain access to important information that was pertinent to the scope of each project.

I saved the company $300,000 annually through implementing and maintaining an Adobe Acrobat PDF filing system. I Established a more efficient, electronic filing system that streamlined information management processes and procedures. I saved the company $300,000 annually through developing and implementing a more efficient, electronic parallel method for informing shop floor of revisions changes to project specifications. I saved the company time and money through non-compliance communication with the customer through implementing and developing a digital photography communications system. I saved the company money and time through developing a more efficient engineering documentation control system. Integrated and mapped technical manufacturing specifications and prints into the manufacturing software package through designing and engineering intranet web pages. Created, designed and updated company web site. I Managed the file server hardware and software, Internet hardware and software, 12 workstations, back up systems, Internet, Email, Windows 98 conversions and upgrades, voice data systems, sound card installations, Novell, PC Anywhere, Office 97 upgrades, Windows 95 maintenance. I Had 5 years experience in AutoCAD 13, 14 and 2000, Autodesk Inventor and Pro Engineering Cad/Modeling Applications. Produced drawing detailing based on ANSI 14.5 1994. My duties included drawing process specific drawings for machinist and programmers. I would also redraw a customers drawing to separate mill and lathe work. I also created 3d computer model to communicate hard to understand geometry. Also reverse engineered customer parts and re-engineered customer parts for part manufacturability. I served as manager and Network administrator for all AutoCAD, and Inventor drawings and models. Created and maintained a database to keep track of all new and old drawing numbers.
