• Perform daily operational and maintenance activities on legislative systems including hardware, operating systems, and applications.• Specifically maintain Windows operating systems utilized by members and staff of the Alabama Legislature such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.• Work with other departments and groups in the Legislature on critical projects such as disaster recovery, systems integration, infrastructure upgrades, and Windows upgrade/implementation.• Assist in day-to-day operations of Legislature’s computer network and servers.• Evaluate and deploy antivirus and security solutions to protect legislative equipment.• Review and log calls in call tracking database.• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, including wireless support.• Configure ports/switches to allow connectivity to local network/Internet.• Configure and maintain network printers.• Set up member’s personal devices, such as iPad/iPhone, Android, Blackberry, etc.
