Oil Spill Response:Robert Starkes has worked with ECRC since 2000, serving in the roles of: Operations Supervisor in St. John’s, Newfoundland; Response Centre Manager in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Atlantic Region Manager; and currently as the General Manager since May 2022. Robert has a Bachelor of Science in geography, with specific interest in coastal geomorphology. He has worked on more than 100 spills, covering a broad range of oil types and operating environments. He currently chairs the Global Response Network (GRN) On-Water Operations Team, and is a member of the GRN Remote Sensing Team.Originally from Newfoundland, he currently resides in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia.
