My partner and I are life-long friends who met and adventured the wilds of Alaska many decades ago. We have remained friends even though taking very different global paths, usually meeting to conquer mountains and off-piste. We've come to together to start an exciting adventure; to start a wine import business that is focused on our favorite wine regions that are close to big mountain skiing. Scaled Technical/Site Operations organization from 5 to 200 staff in one year, and from 5 to 450 customers in 1.5 years.

Assumed leadership of Site Operations when eBay’s auction site experienced crisis stability problems. Led Site Operations and Architecture functions through crisis period while addressing operations/monitoring rigor, distributed services architecture, global scaling, security and crisis response. Successfully drove site to stability and optimal performance by re-architecting entire monolithic infrastructure into globally distributed, scalable and highly available designs.
