About Robert Strand

Robert Strand is a philanthropist, environmental advocate, filmmaker and the Executive Director & CEO of global non–profit, World Water Film Festival (WWFF). Dedicated to highlighting ongoing water crises around the world, Robert launched WWFF in partnership with UN Water’s International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre (IGRAC) and the Youth for Global Health & Social Justice. The non-profit provides an international platform for activists and storytellers to highlight human-water relationship issues that he hopes will inspire the general public, policy makers and academics to take action to protect water from pollution and overexploitation.Robert applies his 30-year background as a renowned Creative Brand Strategist and Executive Coach to his passion for water justice, leading him to build a film festival to focus on water that includes narrative, animation and documentary formats; he believes that policy makers and scientists alone cannot influence change - that it is the creatives who can help save the day.
