Hello!My name is Rob and I’m a high energy person Driven by Technical Challenges; whether it’s with a wrench in my hands covered in dirt and oil or in front of a computer hashing out a control Program (as long as I can use inline C). Add to that designing and troubleshooting new concepts’ Electrical and Mechanical systems or problem-solving control electronics with all of the actuators and sensors, and I’m a happy Man.It was my love for Aviation at a young age of 6 that I started developing my technical aptitudes, skills and educational aspirations. I designed, built and competitively flew, and instructed others in now what is considered UAV’s. Airplanes and helicopters fascinate me still to this day as I continue to design build and fly. (yes, I’m registered with the FAA and have my FAA Part 107 license) This is the guiding force that led me to Engineering and Physics; earning my degrees in EE, Physics, and Education.It has been my breadth of Knowledge, Skills and abilities I have developed from my passion that I consider my greatest achievement and strength. It also has proven to be a hurdle to express to others how I can rebuild a rear-end in a pickup truck covered in grease one day, write an interface program the next, and finish it up with designing and building an electronic controls module for a project at work. (oh, yeah… I can weld too. Only stick and MIG though) This has Professionally guided my career through discrete albeit, interrelated practices. IT (7 years), Deisel and Automotive Technician (8 yrs.), High school Physics and Engineering teacher (15 yrs.), and Engineering and Manufacturing (9 yrs.).My Engineering path is leading me to the next logical level to employ my best knowledge, skills and assets. I can't wait to see where it takes me!
