He drove the highly successful Chicago Data Center exit to RBS Edinburgh and RBS US locations in NJ and RI as well as Bank of America locations resulting in the decommissioning of over 7000 servers, multiple mainframes and remote sites while continuing to meet all critical and key SLAs, achieved the highest possible client satisfaction rating (10), and delivered 120% of revenue plan and over 150% of profit plan on $70M annual target. Upon completion of the migration of the ABN AMRO Global Trade Platform, he continued to provide the managed services for mainframe and midrange operations out of Edinburgh for GTP and continued to assist ABN AMRO NV and Royal Bank of Scotland in their legal separation. Provided support to the RBS engagements for network and desktop cloud, and managed the winning proposal to extend the Phase 3 contract for 5 additional years using global resource. In addition, he collaborated with BofA on their Cloud Computing initiatives and the preliminary stages of I-series Managed Services and Electronic Cash Vault Hosting. Mr. Sturges also provided project executive leadership on the TransUnion, John Hancock, Catholic Health Partners, Western Union and CBRE engagements and developed a services improvement plan and transformation roadmap for the Standard Insurance account.

Provided Project Executive leadership throughout the entire engagement phase for the ServiceMaster Strategic Outsourcing contract achieving a successful win of a $194M seven year full scope infrastructure / application development/maintenance contract including service desk, server and storage management, end-user support, mail and messaging, asset management and security services. Initially the engagement included a $750M+ competitive multi-tower RFP response which included Managed Business Processing Service Towers for Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Procurement/Fleet Support in addition to the IT Tower for infrastructure and AMS. As the Project Executive led the development of the overall solution and governance structure. IBM was selected on all towers beating out Accenture and Infosys. However, the private equity firm owners of ServiceMaster (CD&R) instructed ServiceMaster to break up the procurement into individual towers and go back out in the marketplace to re-bid by tower. In Phase 2, continued to lead the team as Project Executive for the ITO tower response (infrastructure/AMS) through another proposal response, three down-selects and ultimately beat HCL, Infosys and CGI. This was the first time IBM had beaten HCL in a head to head competition after numerous attempts across IBM Global Services. In addition, this win included IBM's largest Telecommunication Expense Management (TEM) Service Product Line (SPL) win as part of the overall solution.
