About Robert Davidson

Expert in performance nutrition and nutritional biochemistry with an ability to creatively solve complex problems. Have developed and directed several online MS Graduate programs related to Nutrition and Human Physical Performance. My research programs have also developed and validated predictive computer simulation models of weight change, changes in body composition, the effect that diet composition has on body composition changes. These simulations predict when a person will change weight, how much and where on the body the weight change will occur along with the person's body measurements anytime from 1-5 years into the future. Running some of these simulations in reverse allows measured changes in body composition to be used to determine the consumed diet composition during the body comp change period, completely replacing dietary intake recording by the subject and provides a valuable tool for compliance analysis. Models and simulations of changes in cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength gain with exercise, and hormone control of blood-glucose levels have also been developed. Professional goals include developing computer simulations that predict the effects of diet, exercise, and physical environment on human physical performance capabilities - essentially a virtual human.I list just a few of my favorite publications below to highlight my background.
