  • Title Guaranty Of Hawaii
    Senior Systems Engineer/Software Developer
Title Guaranty Of Hawaii Jul 2008 - Aug 2011
    Honolulu, Hi, Us
As a member of the IT staff, I was the primary architect and programmer for the SoftPro 2.x Integration Project. SoftPro is a commercial Escrow processing software package, which has been designed to be extensible to end user customers. As the primary architect and programmer, I designed and programmed various methods to extract data from SoftPro in order to update existing Title Guaranty developed systems (running both UNIX and Windows), updating existing orders in SoftPro, as well as programmatically creating new orders in SoftPro. This required working with technologies such as: Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), Windows Communications Foundation (WCF) and Web Services. Systems which were integrated included:• Document Management System (DMS) – when a user printed a document from SoftPro, a copy was automatically loaded into DMS.• Contact Management – when a contact was updated in the corporate Contact Management System, open orders were scanned, and order contacts updated as well.In addition, whenever a user saved an order, SoftPro sends a message to a previously defined WCF endpoint. The end point that I developed ran a Windows Workflow Foundation (WF) 3.51 workflow to update open orders, as well as interface with the corporate DMS, Title and other internal systems. The project also included an extensive error handling, error reporting and order auditing process. The project was programmed in Visual C# 3.51. This was a long term (3 year) project, which successfully went live in July 2011.

All development activities were done using Microsoft VisualBasic.NET 2.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (T-SQL).These applications required a through working knowledge of the QNXT database, how it stores, processes and adjudicates claims as well as understanding the relationship of providers to members for various private business products.
