Achievements:- Project manager for Richmond to Portugal transfer of Test to Yield Learning project resulting in $30M/yr, savings and 3X CT reduction. - Developed course materials and instructed 300+ engineers (Including engineers from Portugal and Germany) on Fundamentals of Project Management and Starting a Project. - Provided PM training and charter development to Richmond Chamber of Commerce for Demand Based Integrated Workforce Development Service Delivery System project. - Achieved benchmark performance for Component yield on 140 and 170nm products.- Established and chaired Company wide PE Board for synchronizing technology.- Established Company wide customer return and application review process.

Responsible for Project Management of Technology Transfer Projects to Richmond from Dresden, Germany. Responsibilities include:- Management of Technology Project Office Team.- Manage Milestones, scheduling, risk management, change management, project coordination and track progress of new products and technology, using corporate guidelines.- Manage engineering teams comprised of multiple engineering disciplines in U.S., Germany and Portugal.- Primary Interface between Product Divisions (Customer) and Mfg.Achievements:- Project manager for initial 140nm, 170nm and first DDR (Double Data Rate) product technologies into Richmond FAB.- Achieved Project of the Quarter award with successful transfer and ramp of DDR Product and 140nm Technology.- Established Project Management standards and methods for INFINEON Richmond- Managed Transfer budget for manpower and materials. Typically $1M/Project.

Responsible for supervision and guidance of 3 Engineering Departments (40 people) involved in Product and Process Technology Development, Product Test and CIM Systems. Responsibilities include:- Product Performance - Yield, Quality and Cost.- Primary Interface between Product Divisions (Customer) and Mfg.- Management of yearly budget of $10M and all staffing issues.- New Product Introduction. - Test Area Manufacturing and CIM management.Achievements:- Coordinated successful Manufacturing Ramp of key Cellular I.C. in 1997, enabling sales of >10M handsets.- Met yield targets improving @ 70% learning rate/year.- Developed and qualified .8µM EEPROM process.- Introduced 6 new Paging IC products.- Exceeded Cycle-Time and Productivity targets for Test area enabling extra capacity to be used by other Motorola locations.- Developed strong Technical Team resulting in 7 new members of Motorola Technical Ladder.- Member of the Motorola Technical Ladder since 1992.

Responsible for supervision of 5 engineers directly involved in Yield and Technology enhancement of Microcontroller, Telecom, LCD, Special and ASIC I.C. products. Responsible for process development, yield, production support and customer interface. Duties included analysis of product at test, process definition for new and existing products and software development.Achievements:- Defined and directed Technology Transfer of 1.2µM EEPROM process leading to successful startup of first silicon and eventual ramp of 6” wafer line.- Recruited and formed Device Engineering team.- Co-Established procedures for NPI, Change Management and Technology Transfer.- Co-Developed 3 Low Voltage 1.5µM CMOS HV processes and devices.- Developed reduced leakage P-channel MOSFET process for 1.5µM parts.- Developed optimized die probe method for high volume PLL circuit using Taguchi techniques- Developed RS/1 based Bitmap programs for yield enhancement from 10% to 70% of LCD driver

Responsible for the manufacturing performance (yield) of approximately $80M of Bipolar and BiMOS I.C. Product. Achievements included:- Accomplished over $600K in yield improvement cost savings in one year period.- Completed implementation of a comprehensive yield analysis system connecting device, die and package test data with W.I.P. information into an RS1 database, resulting in increased efficiency in yield problem reporting, analysis and correction. - Specified, justified and installed $100K of I.C. analytical equipment for group lab.
