Middle management of a procurement team, contracts and supply chain management, responsible for the efficient control, expenditure and accounting of the Air Corps budget. Responsible for the performance management of external contractual relationships (SRM) and internal procurement and tendering processes. Delivery of a program of continuous improvement and efficient management of an international supply chain and associated contract agreements to optimize cost, lead times and quality. Delivery of substantial cost reductions, particularly through the development of lean supply chain and strategic procurement initiatives and development of negotiation strategies for single source suppliers.

The Air Corps is the air component of the Defence Forces of Ireland. Through a fleet of fixed and rotary wing aircraft, it provides military support to the Army and Naval Service, together with non-military air services such as air ambulance and the Ministerial Air Transport Service. As a flight dispatcher (also known as flight operations officer) for the Irish Air Corps i assisted in planning flight paths, landing conditions at destination or alter airports, and other conditions. Dispatchers provide a flight following service and advise pilots if conditions or paths change. Our fleet of aircraft consisted of, CASA’s CN235, Persuader, Cessna’s FR172H, PC-9M’s, and one Learjet 45.

Inventory management within the defence forces is the process of efficiently overseeing the constant flow of units into and out of an existing inventory. This process usually involves controlling the transfer in of units in order to prevent the inventory from becoming too high, or dwindling to levels that could put the operation of the company into jeopardy.

A Sniper Team is a detachment of one or more sniper teams performing an assigned task of engaging selected targets, targets of opportunity, collecting and reporting information, or a combination of all, contributing to the accomplishment of the supported unit's mission.
