About Robert Uhlig

Since 2019, I have been working to bring positive climate change projects to Bude-Stratton on the north coast of Cornwall. In 2019–2020, as co-author of a £200,000 funding application to The National Lottery Community Fund's Climate Action Fund. In 2020, as founding chair of Bude Climate Partnership. In 2021–2022, as Project Coordinator for 12 development projects and author of a £2 million application to the Lottery's Climate Action Fund. Since 2023, as Chief Executive and Program Director for six community climate projects.Formerly, an award-winning national newspaper journalist since 1986, a bestselling author since 1997, and a political and business speechwriter since 2004.Robert Uhlig has written more than a dozen books, most of them as a ghostwriter for well-known business figures, scientists, sports people, actors, comedians, musicians, adventurers, and celebrities.Among those with whom Robert has collaborated are Ewan McGregor, Billy Connolly, James Dyson, Robbie Coltrane, Stephen Hawking, Richard Dawkins, Port Isaac's Fisherman's Friends, David Hempleman-Adams, Charley Boorman, David Attenborough, Robert Winston, Anvil, and Ruth Badger.Robert's books have been shortlisted for the National Book Awards, translated into more than 20 languages, serialised in publications around the world and selected for broadcast by the BBC. As a journalist, Robert spent ten years as a specialist correspondent with the Daily Telegraph in London. In that time, he wrote news, features and comment on subjects ranging from general news, human endeavour, expeditions and entertainment to media, science, technology, environment, food and trade issues.He has written for a host of other publications including The Independent, Sunday Times, Newsweek, The Economist, High Life, GQ, FHM, New Scientist and Focus. Robert has also contributed to BBC television and radio, CNN, ITN, ITV, Sky, Channel 4, RTE, Bloomberg, PBS, and as a consultant to Grant Naylor Productions.As a speech writer, Robert's work includes Sir James Dyson’s speech on innovation and industry to the Conservative Party Conference in October 2009.
