After completing almost 9 years with SanDisk Corp. in Milpitas, working in the areas of Design Methodology and Program Management, I am now searching for a new position primarily in the areas of Technical Writing &/or Technical Training. My experience at SanDisk with tools such as Clarity, Accurev, JIRA, Allegro, Dynamics, SharePoint, most MS Tools and the Root Cause Analysis Process has enabled me to work on a wide variety of projects and to develop internal training courses for other engineers for most of these tools and topics.

Bob has recently completed assignments for the West Valley Engineering Group as a contractor at SanDisk Corp. in the ASIC Engineering and Program Management Groups. In this role, job responsibilities required the use of various tools: AccuRev, JIRA, Clarity, SharePoint, MetricStream, and Allegro. In addition to using these tools, Bob also created user training materials for these tools to help both engineers and contractors learn to use these tools effectively. Using the training materials, Bob conducted live training sessions and created self-paced learning materials (workbooks, application notes, etc.) for use by people at other SanDisk sites. During this time, Bob also worked as part of a team to drive the ASIC RCA (Root Cause Analysis) Program at SanDisk.

Created four short courses describing Silicon On Insulator Technology. Course topics included: Floating Body Effects, SOI IO Cell Design, Self Heating, and SOI SRAM Circuits. Also wrote audio scripts and recorded lectures for on-line Training for the above four short courses.

I am currently making a career transition as an Engineering Manager and looking for a position in Engineering Management to manage projects using my Technical Training and Technical Writing skills.

Managed a Group that created technical EDA Tool and Methodology training courses for CMOS ASIC Design. Migrated ASIC Design training from mainframe to workstation environments using many new graphics oriented tools. Developed an on-line workbook program for a widely dispersed customer base, introduced recorded lecture courses on line, and conducted a program of Distance Learning classes that included self paced labs at the customer location while eliminating the need for travel or lost work time.
