I'm currently serving in a Director role with Main Street Renewal, a licensed real estate brokerage and property management company specializing in working with investors to purchase, transform, and manage properties within 30 cities in 18 states. I was promoted into this position to lead the move out and renovation process from our Austin headquarters for thousands of properties. I was asked to serve as the in-field Operations Captain assessing and remediating damage and destruction on Houston-based, investor-owned properties hit by Hurricane Harvey in August of 2017. I collaborated with a Construction Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and co-direct 3 Field Superintendents.☛ During my time helping with this monumental clean up effort, I was accountable for tracking and managing residential home populations and all aspects of recovery. I worked closely with in-field teams to speak with ~1200 residents to ensure their safety and assess damage. I prioritized the order of homes we repaired, I coordinated with disaster relief companies to obtain estimates for each property and to schedule the needed remediation including materials clean-up/removal, mold removal and chemical application to prevent grow-back, and HVAC, electrical, and drywall work.☛ I also acted as an effective liaison with City and County Code Officers; I obtained necessary permits and ensured inspections were passed in a timely manner.

Selected to serve as the Team Lead overseeing multiple aspects of implementation for the company’s system conversion to Yardi, I managed the Resident Support Team responsible for all phases of leasing for each resident from lease contract signing, notice given, and home vacancy. I was accountable for defining each milestone task during a typical fullcycle resident experience and relating it to Yardi through process and procedure documentation.

I held 3 progressively responsible roles during the first 2 years I was with Main Street. I was fortunate to begin my work with them in the capacity of an Asset Manager in 2014 where I worked on the Asset Management team prioritizing the property work for our Superintendents. I handled repair estimate approvals and was dedicated to streamlining all aspects of the project work. Within 6 months, I moved up to the New Branch Start-Up Supervisor position and was entrusted to travel to 3 new brick and mortar locations and manage all facets involved with each opening. I performed due diligence on the homes to ensure inspections were done before purchases were made, and I reviewed and ensured compliance on all lease documents and operations processes within the specific cities of Louisville, St. Louis, and Birmingham. Each location had a long list of tasks and responsibilities which needed to be accomplished before an opening, and I’m proud to say that we did each successfully, within budget, and within the agreed upon timeline. By March 2016, I was promoted to serve as a Supervisor within Property Management.
