He has testified in court over 160 times as an expert witness in matters involving divorce, business valuation and economic damages with 31 of those before a jury. Testimony locations include Memphis, Jackson, Knoxville, Nashville, Chattanooga and the surrounding area. Robert is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Robert is often requested to speak at national, regional, and local seminars for attorneys and CPA’s on forensic accounting, forensic economics, divorce and business valuation topics. Some of Robert’s presentations include national conferences for the AICPA, NACVA, Tennessee Bar Assoc. (TBA) and American Bar Assoc. (ABA) Family Law Section. He has also presented many seminars and published articles on various forensic accounting and business valuation topics for the Tennessee Society of CPA’s (TSCPA), Tennessee Bar Association, and the Knoxville, Nashville, and Memphis Bar Associations. In August of 2009, one of Robert’s articles was featured on the cover by the Tennessee Bar Journal, the statewide publication of the TBA. Robert has also served in leadership roles in the TSCPA as Past President of the Memphis Chapter and helps lead its Forensic & Valuation Services Task Force.
