Installation Engineer
Installation engineer at the Heerema Marine Contractors main office in Leiden. Working on the preparation of the OWF Empire Wind 1&2 offshore of New York City. The project scope includes the transport and installation of 138 XXL Monopiles, Anode Cages and Transition Pieces and 2 substations (jacket + topside) by the SSCV Thialf.My main responsibilities are:1. Deck lay-out design of the SSCV Thialf for Monopile installation and mobilisation2. Installation engineering of the hammer pile driving spread3. Survey interface regarding the SSCV ThialfTemporarily assisted the Arcadis Ost project offshore on SSCV Thialf during installation of the Wind Turbine Generators. This is the world's first installation of the WTGs from a floating vessel. It was great to be part of and experience this innovative project!

The Field Engineer role was on board the Seaway Yudin on the OWF project Formosa II in Taiwanese waters. The Yudin and supporting fleet did the pin pile foundation campaign. My main responsibilities were:1. Provide basic design, structural calculations, construction drawings and construction supervision for ad hoc constructions required in the field.2. Provide my welding team with all necesarry vessel support during construction and repairs of critical project items.3. Advise supervisors and find solutions to issues of a technical and installation engineering nature.4. Ensure all parties onboard are provided with the appropriate project information/documentation.5. Assist in assembly of as-built documentation.6. Prepare and help execute maintenance & repairs and offloading equipment.I was present at two 10 week campaigns on-board until project completion.
Lead Offshore Installation Engineer

Responsible for all offshore installations of Oceans of Energy like mooring installation, platform tow-out, mooring hook-on and decommisioning operations.
