Responsibilities: I have led communications for the school district. I have handled social media for the district including Facebook, Twitter and flickr. Since 2016, I have posted nearly 300 photo galleries of which I took 95 percent of the photos. See them at https://www.flickr.com/photos/pulaski/albums. I handle media requests and press releases. I am the editor of the Pulaski News, a community newspaper written by high school students. I write and take photos to fill in the gaps when students are unavailable. I help the journalism teacher teach the class and mentor students. I recently culminated a project with SchoolNow to redesign the PCSD website (www.pulaskischools.org). and post new content to it. I do other special projects including board meeting notes, internal and district-wide newsletters, annual meeting booklets, school fact sheets and more. I send Skylert emails and texts to staff and families.Teamwork and Special Projects: I worked with students to produce a special edition of the Pulaski News when the new football stadium opened in 2016 and in 2022 when Pulaski High School had its 100th graduating class. I have earned two Wisconsin School Public Relations Association Spectrum awards for the district photo galleries and fact sheet folders.

Responsibilities: The State Journal was an 80,000-circulation daily newspaper. I am responsible for overseeing print and online business coverage for the State Journal, leading a three-person staff. I also contribute on the city desk editing and coordinating the local news section. Teamwork and Special Projects: I coordinated the annual State Journal Book of Business and Answer Book special publications, 80-page publications that are used as resources for the business community and readers at large, respectively.

I compiled and edited information for the 220-page U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research Development and Engineering Center's (TARDEC's) 2011 and 2012 annual command histories. I also edited and helped move a 280-page TARDEC history book through the production process.

• The Green Bay Press-Gazette was a 60,000-circulation daily (80,000 Sunday) newspaper. • Managed a business staff of two reporters and summer interns to present readers with quality and relevant business news.• Assisted the local news desk and worked with online personnel to post stories; Implemented a business blog and paper industry blog as well as supplied copy for the Press-Gazette business Twitter account.• Served as Assistant Opinion Page Editor and Assistant Metro Editor prior to being named Business Editor; Wrote articles and editorials as well as editing duties.• In a survey commissioned by Gannett in 2008 and released in 2009, 85 percent of readers polled read the Press-Gazette Business section. This was the second-highest rating following only the sports section, which features Green Bay Packers coverage in a football crazy region. • Produced special sections for three consecutive days on the Wisconsin Harley-Davidson Owner's Group annual convention.

• The Messenger was a 19,000-circulation daily newspaper.• Managed Farm News, a weekly agriculture newspaper.• Managed a 20-plus person newsroom including writing editorials, photography, reporting, scheduling, hiring and day-to-day planning, pagination and special project coordination. • Edited a newspaper that featured coverage of 14 Iowa counties, a weekly farm magazine that went to farmers in the western half of Iowa and managed editors who produced monthly business and lifestyles magazines.

• The Daily Globe was an 11,000-circulation Monday to Saturday morning newspaper.• Managed a 10- to 15-person newsroom including budgeting, scheduling, reporting, hiring, writing editorials and day-to-day news planning and pagination.• Assisted a top newspaper design expert in carrying out his redesign of the Daily Globe.• Produced a design stylebook and trained the staff on the new style.• Led the change from a Crossfield system to page production on Apple computers with QuarkXpress. • Switched to an ACT system that used Microsoft Word, QuarkXPress and Adobe Photoshop; Led staff training and cross training. • The redesign project was the main reason the Daily Globe took second place in General Excellence in the 10,000 circulation and larger category in the 1999 Minnesota Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper contest. • Planned and launched a twice-monthly Spanish-language newspaper and a 24- to 28-page quarterly agriculture special section.• When Worthington's major employer, Campbell Soup, closed its chicken plant in Worthington, the newspaper produced a two-part special section that was planned well in advance down to the banner headline.

• The Enterprise was an 11,000-circulation weekly newspaper. • Managed a six-person newsroom including reporting, budgeting, scheduling, hiring, darkroom work, photography, special project management, writing editorials and week-to-week news planning and page design.• When I took over, the staff was inexperienced and had trouble covering the news and meeting deadlines. From the first week on, we met our deadline. I began a series of training and cross training that helped the reporters improve their skills. As the staff improved, so did the newspaper. • The Enterprise earned second- and third-place finishes in General Excellence category in Wisconsin Newspaper Association Better Newspaper Contest in 1993 and 1994.• I started Shorelines, a lifestyles tabloid section that was included with each Enterprise.
