As Associate General Counsel (AGC) I am responsible for the daily operations of the AUA legal department and provide advice and counsel on all legal matters of the AUA. I report directly to, and work closely with, the Executive Vice President, Chief Legal and Policy Officer, to handle legal and compliance issues for various entities under AUA, such as AUA, Inc., American Urological Association Education and Research, Urology Care Foundation, and AUA Political Action Committee. Additionally, I manage the intellectual property portfolios of AUA entities and provide legal guidance on how to monetize and protect AUA IP. I am responsible for reviewing all transactions involving AUA entities to ensure compliance with established laws, regulations, policies and procedures. I am the main contact for legal and transactional initiatives across various divisions and departments within the AUA organization. I am also in charge of implementing and training staff on the contract, legal matter management, and IP management system, along with related policies and procedures.
