I began my career as a home builder in a family-owned business in the Tri-Cities, Washington area in 1978. By 1981 I began working in engineering design; first as a drafter, then designer, Sr. Designer, Senior Cost Estimator, Client and Project Manager and eventually Vice President of a 50-person engineering firm. Project experience included work for industrial clients such as Boise Cascade, Iowa Beef, the Dept. of Energy at Hanford, WA and Energy Northwest. In addition, for the last 20 years I have serviced two client groups in particular: I have prepared zoning and construction documents for several wireless telecommunication companies in support of their ground-based towers and structure-based antenna transmitter facilities; and for the University of Utah, principally supporting their outside parking and roadway needs (both new construction and repairs), as well as pedestrian pathways with focus on ADA requirements.Since 2016 I have gained design experience in the post-frame (pole barn) building market.I attended and graduated from an Autocad Civil 3-D essentials course provided by PPI Group in Portland, OR and Renton, WA
