I built IT and Development teams that have delivered the first fully-integrated data infrastructure combining hundreds of Veterinary Practices and Pet Resorts. We curate hundreds of millions of records daily in a medallion data architecture in Snowflake. This infrastructure provides operational visibility into hundreds of discrete businesses offering a variety of services throughout the US.On top of that infrastructure, we build a robust API layer that encapsulates our enterprise business logic. APIs are the backbone for all data moving through our data infrastructure. APIs power web and mobile applications, data extraction, data transformation, internal administrative applications and 3rd party integrations. We built and industry first booking application by providing a single, optimized booking and availability user experience for Veterinary Practices and Pet Resorts, integrated with our POS partners. This application is native on iOS, Android and web. It is functionally identical across all platforms, driven by our enterprise APIs. Through this journey we have found opportunities for UX optimization in customer onboarding and appointment booking. We have identified "sweet-spots" for fully native implementation vs shared UX components (across iOS, Android and web). We have developed backend solutions that provide localized branding, services offerings, operational customization that differentiate our physical locations in a common application interface. All of this has been done in record time by and extremely lean development team. I am so proud of the team of web, mobile, backend and quality engineers that have come together, worked together, tested and delivered together. We do this work as a high performance engineering team. Not only getting the work done and delivered to our customers but without cutting corners on what we believe are the best technical paradigms available today: native mobile, reactive web, serverless, cloud-native, API-driven.

Rapid build of a customer acquisition, training and onboarding solution using native AWS. Intarcia was prepping a robust digital marketing and onboarding campaign. Their onboarding process had regulatory constraints that required training and compliance along with the typical sales and customer service processes. Like most customer acquisition campaigns, new customers surface in different ways. This solution needed to account for compliance but not create an impediment for new customers. Using AWS, Lambda, Dynamodb, we were able to integrate Digital Marketing (Epislon), Customer Service, Sales (SFDC), Learning Management and Identity Management (Okta) backed by a custom messaging and rules engine.

Chief Predictive Architect

Austin, Tx, Us

I built the Insidesales.com AI Platform. They had an academic and data scientist that had produced great results showing how past sales engagements could inform future sales results. But they had no organized predictive data capture, no formalized feature engineering, no way to deliver predictive models to their sales application. I pitched the CEO on creating a specalized team dedicated to making their predictive vision a reality.I lead a team of data scientists, software architects and research engineers to design and build a predictive platform. This result was a product with many of the same attributes as Amazon SageMaker. It delivered real-time predictive recommendations to our products, using customer-specific data, features and models. The platform included:* High-volume data capture from data streamed from Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics, Indesales.com's telecom services and sales products* Standardizes and cleanses incoming data* Anonymizes customer and personal information* Captures external data from hundreds of sources, such as market news, company data, local fuel prices, interest rates, employment* Normalizes customer-specific sales stage gates to a common set of outcomes* Empowers data scientists by automating the creation of custom data files with cleansed, standardized and engineered data* Stores and versions customer specific predictive models* Provides APIs for applications to make predictions using customer-specific models* Automated drift detection* Predictive results tracking* Stored nearly 100 billion sales interactions* Provided millions of daily sales predictions

Chief Technology Officer

Cloudcraze B2B Commerce (Now Salesforce B2B Commerce)

I created CloudCraze, the first ever B2B Commerce solution native to Salesforce.com. After running a professional services organization doing B2B eCommerce for companies like Intel, Best Buy, Microsoft, Citrix, Directv, GlaxoSmithKline and Valspar; I saw the opportunty to port my team's experience to the emerging Force.com platform. I put together a core team of architects having numerous B2B and CPQ implementations under their belts and focused them on building a Salesforce managed package solution offering advanced functionalality to support enterprise customer relationships, complexed products, categories and entitlements, along with advanced pricing models. Our product message of fast implementations on exising Salesforce infrastructure, coupled with native Salesforce objects and administration resonated in the market. We had customers implementing CloudCraze within three months of the product being conceived. This impacted our company's value, going from a consulting organization to a software company and greatly increased our stature as a Salesforce partner in their ecosystem. After numerous implementations for companies like Qualcomm, Adidas and Coca Cola, during and after my time at CloudCraze, the product and organization was ultimately acquired by Salesforce and is now known as Salesforce B2B Commerce.During my time with CloudCraze I was the CTO of the organization and worked as the product manager leading the direction of the product roadmap. As our eCommerce practice manager, I was also the executive responsible for our client implementations of CloudCraze.

Senior Vice President

Sandy, Ut, Us

I ran our eCommerce practice doing professional services implementations of Comergent/Sterling Commerce. Our speciality was providing the core architectural leadership required for enterprise implementations. Often large consulting firms would have clients chose to implement Sterling Commerce for CPQ. But they would not have architects or project managers that had the experience to execute this type of implementation. When I joined EDL, our consultants were hire guns that could jump into a project and do a great job. My goal was to build a practice that would be full service; enabled to sell, scope, implement and hand over an implementation to our clients. I started by running projects myself, building a set of tools to scope our project and manage costs and budget. I then ramped up our consultants be be lead architects on projects and training experienced consultants to be project managers. I then worked with our sales team to provide recommendations, track records and other collateral that would differentiate us as the go implementation partner in this ecosystem. Our implementations included: Citrix, Directv, Intel, Microsoft, Valspar, Motorola, Husky, GlaxoSmithKline, Best Buy, Gehl, Invitrogen, Safco, Room and Board, DeVry and several others.
