About Robert W. Cross

I’m Robert W. CrossI first understood the climate issue way back in the 1980s. It has greatly informed my life and career. Transitioning to renewable energy is, I believe, a moral imperative.My contribution to fulfilling that imperative is to help cleantech leaders align product, marketing, and sales so they build the velocity that leads to success.My journey here began at Seton Hall, where I studied communications, and then NYU, where I did postgraduate work in film. I began my career in commercial finance and economic development, and had my first experiences solving big problems that impacted the bottom line. In 2008, I moved from NYC to Portland to take on a leadership role with the Energy Trust of Oregon. For the last 15+ years, I’ve worked with industry-leading project developers, manufacturers, and B2B service providers in distributed generation. I became very familiar with the industry’s many challenges (and opportunities) and eventually realized I’d found my place.
