I am an experienced investigator that has a passion for fraud investigations, exploring fraud schemes with a critical eye and placing all of the pieces to the puzzle together to uncover and properly investigate a variety of claim scenarios.As an investigator. I was able to use my training from law enforcement, claims adjusting and private investigations to gain a solid foundation for a career in fraud investigations. During this career, I have developed and honed my skills to be very proficient in fraud identification and deterrence. This experience has helped my employers to see a decrease in fraud activity and in the lost income due to fraudulent claims activity. With a profound knowledge of insurance law and accepted industry practices, I was able to work with many levels of law enforcement in the further investigation of these schemes. My extensive knowledge of various insurance fraud schemes, their methodologies and my traits as a potential leader were the basis for me being recruited by several companies to help develop and manage their anti-fraud units. Using a results-driven business acumen, change of management skills and a philosophy of a team approach, I was successful in helping these companies save monies that were normally lost to undetected fraud schemes. Developing and managing new fraud tools such as a rate pursuit unit and a low impact claim unit, coupled with training for claim staff, management and agents also contributed to the further success of these effective and proactive anti-fraud strategies.
