I'm passionate about technology and how it can make a positive difference for change. After 20+ great years of working as a web developer in the commercial printing business for Imagers I decided to go out on my own but I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted to continue to work as a web developer and I was hoping that the projects I worked on were not completely commercial, but could help non-profits, specifically Christian ministries. While managing a mission trip for my church as the team leader I discovered a need for digital tools to help with that process. It occurred to me that as a web developer I had the skillset to create these tools. Was this this answer to my prayers? I created an outline of what I thought a mission team management app would look like then presented it to the head of the host mission organization a week later during the mission trip to Costa Rica. He affirmed that there was a need for these tools and so my new journey began. I created The Mission Assistant to build a platform that mission ministries, or any non-profit organization, who hosts mission and volunteer teams could use to organize and manage those teams. In early 2019 we started beta testing with Esperanza Urbana in San Jose Costa Rica. The Mission Assistant has also been helping other mission ministry and non profit organizations with managing and custom development for their websites. In 2021 I started working with GiveSendGo.com, helping it scale their development team. It's been an incredible experience for which I'm truly grateful. In 2022 I took a full position as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with them.
