As the senior executive for all network functions, this role is responsible for value-based programs, market expansions, managed care contracting, provider engagement/education/training, network development, high performing network formation/management, and credentialing.

Strategic and operational leadership to Tenet Clinically Integrated Networks in Texas, Alabama, Florida and Tennessee. This work included full P&L responsibility for multiple unique ACOs and CINs, managed care contract negotiation, facilitating external partnerships to develop exclusive products, development of high-quality/high-value provider networks, clinical process improvement, care management, and physician engagement.

As the executive responsible for Brookwood Baptist Physician Alliance, I serve as the strategic and operational leader for a team of administrative and clinical staff in Alabama.

This position was responsible for ensuring effective planning and execution of strategic initiatives pertaining to population health and value-based care endeavors at Baptist Health. This included the ACO (Baptist Health Care Partners), the Clinically Integrated Network (Baptist Health Network Partners), the health plan (Baptist Health Plan) and Baptist Health Medical Group with a combined impact of 1400 providers and 70,000 covered lives. My team was responsible for improving in-system utilization of affiliated/employed providers, performing in risk-based arrangements such as bundled payments, managing the relationship with several consulting partners, expanding the Clinically Integrated Network and the operational effectiveness of Baptist's Accountable Care Organization in the Medicare Shared Savings Program. During my time there, my team positively impacted overarching quality scores by 15 percentile points, implemented a longitudinal care coordination and care gap tracking solution, created a skilled-nursing facility-tiering program and engaged over 1100 providers in cost and utilization management for their patients. Further, I served as the organizational expert on governmental programs such as MACRA (Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act) and BPCI-Advanced (Bundled Payment for Care Improvement) while leading our efforts to apply and excel in each.

While in this role, I managed 12 physician practices in the Louisville and Bardstown area. Responsibilities included strategic and financial oversight, quality adherence and performance, recruitment, planning, marketing and operational support. During my time at KentuckyOne, I opened two new clinics, successfully implemented ICD-10, worked on a proposal for a $1.2 million expansion to Flaget Memorial Hospital and redesigned processes at many of my practices to meet value-based care standards with the creation of KentuckyOne Health Partners.

An intensive leadership experience that allowed me to utilize past knowledge and experience gained in a high-level healthcare setting. I had many opportunities to lead multidisciplinary groups, engage in strategic planning initiatives, manage multiple projects and work alongside administrative and clinical leaders throughout the system. This included work as a project manager for the initial formation of Cone’s Clinically Integrated Network, execution of a management services agreement to take operational ownership of a community cancer program, creation of an atrial fibrillation program, and the assessment and expansion of the gynecologic oncology service line.

A hands-on internship consisting of intensive project work applying lean systems management concepts, theories and techniques to real-time clinical/administrative issues. Facilitation of multi-disciplinary teams, project management, and educational events comprised most of the experience.

Partnered with family business to start a drug testing company in Paintsville, KY. I was responsible for development and submission of Department of Transportation bids, client acquisitions and retention, monthly newsletters, supervision of staff and hiring/training of new employees.
