The change of seasons leading to different sounds created by the Faunaled me to study biology and focus on the neuronal substrates in animal physiology.During my academic career I investigated the structure, morphology and function of specialized mechanoreceptors of the fruitfly Drosophila. Drosophila, which hears with this receptors, is a model organism for the Research on Hearing.This fundamental research rose my interest in clinical questions and complied with my inclination to think interdisciplinary.I am now a Clinical Research Manager with MED-EL,the industry’s technology leader in implantable Hearing Solutions.
