My career at Onyx AudioVisual began May 1st, 2024 and has been a challenging but gratifying journey so far. I continue to learn and grow as a Production Lead and look forward to honing my skills and becoming a more complete Technician and Lead. I began employment at the Virginia Stage Company in December 2021 and lead the Lighting Department on over a dozen successful shows over 2 seasons. Notable shows during this time are "Dreamgirls", "A Merry Little Christmas Carol", and most recently "Fiddler on the Roof". Before beginning at VSC I worked for StageFront in Savannah, Georgia as an A/V Technician from August 2019 to November 2021. Over the course of two years I became familiar with a variety of industry standard Audio and Video equipment, both for setup as well as operation. While still living and attending university in New York I found my first job backstage at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in 2011. The Tilles Center is a 2,000 seat capacity theatre that hosts a wide range of world-class live performances from Broadway tours to concerts. Working my way up from pushing roadcases to taking calls as Master Electrician on major tours is one of my proudest accomplishments and has shaped both my work ethic as well as my approach to every event and show I work on. I had the pleasure of working at Tilles until I left New York in July of 2019. I have over 10 years experience in live entertainment and have lead teams, met deadlines and excelled at bringing both artistic and practical visions into reality. My ability to read and understand ground plans and drafting's have allowed me to execute effective plans that satisfy budgetary restrictions while respecting the intention of the Designer. I excel at team leading and building and take great joy in connecting and collaborating with all manner of technicians, designers, managers and others.My diverse work experience has given me a uniquely complete view of live production and A/V instillation that allows me to find effective processes and adhere to best-practices.My strong desire to grow and learn is something that drives me to excel at whatever task I am handed and my tenacity ensures that what I start I finish. I am passionate and hold myself to standard of excellence that has been appreciated at every institution that has allowed me to continue to hone my skills.
