In less than 12 months my team had full governance over all product pricing and commercial analysis for the business. In order to achieve this we implemented a Commercial Governance Process, a Self Serve pricing tool for Core Products and ServiceNow ticketing system for ad hoc pricing, supplier spend tracking and commercial analysis requests. This centralised all commercial decision making and provided the ability to accurately track and report the Commercial team’s activities and impact to the Board. Supplier Spend Reduction of recurring services in order to Self Fund Commercial and Product Team. 154% of Commercial Target achieved.One of my other primary objectives at Elite Group was to help self fund the fast growing Product and Commercial Teams by producing bottom line reductions in supplier spend through maximising spend power with key strategic suppliers in order to negotiate rate reductions. Through out this process I was heavily involved in the commercial discussions with suppliers, responsible for tracking and reporting the Commercial return to the board, as well as planning and overseeing the implementation of any agreed changes. Large Customer Commercial AnalysisA key part of my role as Commercial Manager was to work closely with Sales and Account Directors to review any commercial changes to the top 15 highest spending customers.Customer IncreasesIn order to maintain profit margins of recurring services, my team was responsible for overseeing commercial analysis on blanket customer increases as well as overseeing the communication both to the customers and internal departments.During my time as Commercial Manager I was proud to be awarded the highest accolade of ‘Employee Of The Year 2019’ voted for by colleagues and the board.
