Interned at New Enterprise in the corporate information technology department on various projects spread out over twelve weeks. Responsible for building, imaging, installing, and training for a new bio-metric time and attendance system. Worked with the third party developer to improve the system and add custom changes.Worked with Corporate IT and Business Analysts to gain knowledge of the business and improve the payroll system. I was exposed to the NETHelpDesk ticketing system and gained a basic understanding of the system. I will admit I spent a small amount of time with this ticketing system compared to the rest of my endeavors at New Enterprise. I also worked with the Corporate IT Helpdesk and Network Engineering departments to gain an understanding of their missions. The Helpdesk is exactly what I was expecting from an internal phone line / tech support. The same goes for Network Engineering, as I was expecting them to handle most of network design and implementation. I got the chance to take on some responsibility, and do some individual work. I was responsible for building and installing new end user devices like desktops and laptops as well as printers and all their peripherals. I also got tasked with updating the documentation of the build and installation process while improving detail and accuracy. I particularly enjoyed this as I did something helpful and could experiment to find the best process.I also collaborated with Human Resources, Payroll, and Business Analysts to build and install an all in one bio-metric time clock. When I joined I was tasked with building the system and helping to trouble shoot some of the problems as more systems were deployed. I also got to play around in the test environment and learned some HTML and CSS.

Worked for Penn State University's Auxiliary and Business Services Department. While working this position I was responsible for the department server room specifically overseeing the transition of the room from a dedicated server room to a flex space. I also lead a specialized team to install label printing hardware across Penn State University Park and Penn State's branch campuses. For a different project I managed a team responsible for the reliable installation of a timeclock system. And I also collaborated within a small team to upgrade and install cabling and other necessary equipment in telecommunications rooms across Penn State University Park.I have spent a lot of time with customer facing deices and Point Of Sale systems and devices. I have gained knowledge and familiarity with design as well as implementation.
