Developed Jenkins and the Jenkins as Kubernetes Service (JAKS) pipelines, utilizing Packer and Terraform to create Virtual Machine Scale Sets (VMSS) for deploying Oracle XCenter/XStore and Staples-specific microservices and code to the Staples Azure Cloud. Patched the XStore backend and collaborated in the Azure Portal to create secrets, VMSS, certificates, volumes, Kubernetes pods, network rules, storage accounts, image galleries, and more. Worked with the team to successfully convert 1,100+ stores to new POS as of April 2022.Consistently created deployment plans and successfully deployed the XStore backend, related microservices, and other teams’ AKS services into VMs and AKS Namespaces. Collaborated with the team on several large-scale improvements, which included converting images for over 100 services to RHEL8. Wrote code for cluster and tenant namespaces to facilitate the migration of services to the new cluster. Maintained, updated, and improved services running in the Azure portal, handled Terraform code conversions, and scripted process improvements. Provisioned new virtual machines for Retail Services, from Development to store Production environments using Packer and Terraform in our Azure Cloud. Configured Tomcat and Apache servers and managed the related certificates. Collaborated with the team on a project to transition from VMSS to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). This involved creating Helm charts developing deployment and configuration files for AKS, and far more.Managed our team Confluence pages, regularly reviewing and updating them to implement improvements while documenting all useful information.
