Rob attended Northeastern University with a concentration in computer science. After working for a collection of small businesses and startups, Rob founded his own software company named Inserrat Technologies, LLC. As the sole employee, his responsibilities included administrative tasks required of a business owner, and design, implementation, and support of contracted software projects. After eight years of success on his own, Rob decided to accept a position at Scribe Inc as Systems Architect. His responsibilities at Scribe included research and development of Scribe’s underlying systems architecture, as well as working to advance their current web applications and services. Shortly after moving to Philadelphia, Rob chose to re-start his own company under the new name Source Consulting, with a focus on contracting work that allowed for releasing projects under permissive licenses (such as the MIT License) with the central profit coming from support contracts for the resulting work.Rob is proficient in administering Unix-based infrastructure deployments and in general information technology systems. He is an experienced programmer with PHP, Python, Ruby, C++, Bash, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience. The commonality between his work with these languages is the belief that continuous integration environments and unit-tests are critical to any successful project.
