- Created and documented a novel process for EKS upgrades such that non-experts can now handle this previously formidable task with near zero disruption to production systems- Incorporated managed node groups for EKS into Conversica's Kubernetes infrastructure- Modernized Conversica's CI/CD AWS deployment machinery by moving from dedicated EC2 instances to efficient, highly scalable Kubernetes-based GitLab job runners- Continued to provide systemic insights and detailed feedback across the dev team via architectural meetings, one-on-one discussions, and by hosting weekly informal information sharing sessions (#tech-video-lunch)

- Led team-wide migration from a medley of disparate tools to a single DevOps platform (GitLab).- Based on the successful move to self-hosted GitLab, led the subsequent migration to the gitlab.com SaaS solution to further accelerate the team.- Championed modern DevOps practices of pervasive automation and continuous improvement via tight feedback loops.- Drove numerous technology initiatives addressing cross-cutting concerns such as standardized logging and test automation.- Mentored and coached multiple team members at strategic (e.g. how to choose the right work) and tactical (e.g. specific code review feedback) levels.

- Evaluated and selected AWS EKS among competitive technologies at a time when Kubernetes adoption across the broader industry was still nascent.- Led the design, deployment, and documentation of a new company-wide implementation of Kubernetes on AWS EKS.- Drove collaboration across the entire dev team to adopt the new tooling via a shared repository process which sped developer engagement and learning.- Created and deployed templated CI/CD pipelines to improve overall performance and developer experience.

Shipped Forza Motorsport 5 on a new platform, on schedule and at high quality.• First in the world to implement new lab hardware and software configurations to automatically deploy, test and report results even as the underlying Xbox One platform was under development.• Leveraged the studio investment in existing code and process by porting my existing Xbox 360 console abstraction layer for use on the Xbox One.• Ported a major native C++ engine project from Xbox 360 to Windows.• Scaled crash dump infrastructure to next-generation hardware requirements.• Overhauled Turn 10 studio use of Xbox One deliverable packaging for Forza.Shipped Forza Motorsport 2, 3 and 4 for Xbox 360 garnering the highest racing game ratings of that console generation.• Created a C# Xbox 360 console abstraction layer to encapsulate several key aspects of working with game development kits.• Researched and implemented a novel solution to enable true ‘AnyCPU’ functionality for managed code that depends on platform-specific (x86 and x64) native C++ dlls. This solution was later adopted by multiple external (outside Turn 10) Microsoft teams.• Leveraged and integrated several systems to automate production processes and collect critical performance and stability data.• Championed the use of PowerShell across the studio – including the creation and promotion of a style template that has been recommended for four years.
