I’m Rob Gladstone, Michigan-based entrepreneur and President of Saint Clair Systems, Inc. My team designs and creates fluid viscosity and temperature management systems that make manufacturing processes more predictable, consistent, and sustainable.After leaving public accounting in 1987, I turned my career toward improving the operational efficiency of small manufacturing companies. I earned a minority shareholder position in three of those before coming into Saint Clair Systems in 1999.Here’s the thing: I hate waste of pretty much any kind. (I guess that explains why my first job in manufacturing was working to implement smart “Just in Time” concepts that optimized the resources at our disposal.)Since I became President in 2005, Saint Clair systems has evolved from a company largely dependent on the domestic automotive industry to one with an impressive international reach (3,600+ global installations) across various industries.We’ve learned valuable lessons along the way in controlling fluid temperature in the automotive, industrial finishing, coil coating, and food and beverage industries. Our ultimate goal is to be recognized as the international ‘go-to’ for improving manufacturing productivity and efficiency. We’re constantly implementing lean practices in our own manufacturing facility, learning new ways to do things better, putting corrective and preventive action systems in place, and looking for new markets and opportunities.
