Program Manager for upgrade and implementation at CarMax. Responsible for project timelines, deliverables, resource identification / allocation. Managed project with 26 team members made up of consultants and CarMax employees. Managed the project using standard 5-phase project methodology. Upgrade consisted of GL, AP, AM, and AR. Two new modules (Purchasing and eProcurement) were implemented at the same time. Currently completing build phase.

Project Manager for eProcurement, PO and Inventory implementation at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Managed rollout of eProcurement system to 9 local hospitals as well as UPMC’s corporate office. Organized and conducted design workshops for identification of business requirements for eProcurement implementation. Provided detailed functional and technical expertise in Workflow, Catalog, Direct Connect (Punch-out), Sourcing, and PO processing. Completed rollout October 2006.

Project Manager for new eProcurement implementation and Purchasing / Accounts Payable upgrade for Nationwide Insurance Co. Led analysis to identify upgrade path and implementation plan. Organized and conducted design workshops for identification of business requirements for eProcurement implementation. Delivered technical solutions, specifications, and completed customizations. Led configuration activities and managed multiple team members in completion of implementation tasks. Completed deployment November 2005.

Technical lead for eProcurement, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable upgrade for The Vanguard Group. Led fit-gap analysis to identify where existing customizations would not be needed due to new “delivered” functionality. Led review of old approval process for all modules and developed new strategy for using 8.8 workflow. Implemented multi-vendor internal catalog with custom CUP file load process. Implemented multiple Direct Connections to hosted vendor sites for configurable items. Managed patches and bundle installations with detailed testing process throughout implementation. Developed customizations for gaps in 8.8 functionality to better align with existing purchasing processes. Provided client-mentoring program for transferring knowledge to Vanguard technical team members for production support.

Functional lead for eProcurement implementation and Purchasing upgrade for 3M. Responsible for managing design, configuration, and development phases. Functionality delivered included multi-vendor punch-out, internal catalogs, custom procurement card processing, standard workflow configuration and multiple legacy replenishment system integration.

Led efforts for release of procurement card reconciliation system for the University of Florida. Established stopgap process for period when UF would be without purchasing card reconciliation services. Developed plan for expedited go-live of the PeopleSoft Procurement Card functionality to provide reconciliation support. Delivered a custom Chartfield crosswalk and extract program, which enabled UF to tie back to their legacy system for payment. System rollout for 3800 cardholders and 600+ approvers/reconcilers.

Functional lead for eProcurement initiative at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, TX. Responsible for developing requirements focused on outsourcing Catalog content, approval workflows, Pcard customizations, and supplier selection. Completed customizations for direct connections to multiple suppliers, customizations to the hosted catalog which provided multiple vendors views (ePlus punch-out). Customized Pcard functionality to align with design requirements. Targeted supplier selection for online catalogs through detailed strategic sourcing initiative. Designed phase supplier on-boarding approach to maximize cost savings due to new or renegotiated contracts.

Project Manager for development of new sales channel and supply chain for Corporate Express, a leading business-to-business distributor of office products, promotional marketing, and printer and graphics supplies. Led multi-phase project to establish new business processes and define corporate strategy for developing a distributed order management system to link three lines of business to Strategic Services online marketplace.Project Manager for implementation of TradeMatrix 5.1 services, Aspect Discovery Catalog. Led strategic sourcing initiative to identify and rate prospective suppliers. Supplier selection was extremely important in the effort to provide the best pricing for the Hospitals using the GPO’s contracts. Provided complete marketplace for managing the supply chain of a leading group purchasing organization, providing services to the North American Healthcare Industry.

State Farm - Led a cross-module team with members from payables, purchasing, legacy inventory systems, and legacy asset management systems to provide higher data integrity and more efficient processes. Redesigned business processes and data flows to more closely align to out-of-the-box PeopleSoft functionality. Conducted quality assurance and fit gap analysis by identifying potential risks. Supplied project teams with scenario analysis to optimize module integration. State Farm - Managed two Consultants and two Systems Analysts during PeopleSoft General Ledger implementation at State Farm, a leading US-based insurance company. Developed an execution strategy and workplan to ensure alignment with the financial verification teams. Activities consisted of resolving errors through detailed analysis of objects through PeopleTools Application Designer.
