As a Product Owner, the best part of my job is closely collaborating across departments with users, developers, and stakeholders. Together, we build the digital future of Aon Student Insurance and Aon Expat Insurance. These are the two main propositions of the Aon International People Mobility (IPM).I define and refine the product vision for these online propositions at IPM. Based on outcome metrics and continuous feedback, I maintain a prioritized backlog for the short and long term. In the past two years, we have launched a personalized self-service environment: users rate this on average with a 8.9/10. We achieved the first steps of automated claim processing and have greatly improved our online application process. Our MVP for automatic acceptance achieved an average of 50% automatically accepted (STP) policies. Currently we're working on realizing tailored insurance advice and implementing a scalable website & cms for both our Students and Expats propositions. As part of the merger of Unirobe Meeus Group (UMG) and Aon I continued in the Desk Consultant role at Aon. During this time, I played a key role in the integration of the legacy StudentsInsured client portfolio into Aon International People Mobility.

My role at StudentsInsured was twofold. On the one hand, I consulted students and international institutions and helped them with all aspects of international student insurance. On the other, I worked on the development of the platforms StudentsInsured.com and ExpatsInsured.com, to facilitate the needs of B2B and B2C clients. I was responsible for the online strategy as well as the front-end (re)development of these website. Together with a small team, we professionalized the online service, i.e. by introducing responsive design, landing pages, WhatsApp and live chat.
