After managing his first hotel for ACCOR, he held various positions, including VP Sales & Marketing – Asia; VP Global Sales and Business Development at the ACCOR head office in Paris; and Managing Director of Accor Dorint SMARD GmbH in Germany. His last position at ACCOR was Vice President SOFITEL for Germany Central Europe and Eastern Countries.In 2008, Rob Hornman joined Worldhotels, an exclusive global group of, at that time, 500 independent upscale and luxury hotels. Hornman was CEO and Managing Director at Worldhotels till mid-2014.In 2014 Rob has founded IGNITION-HOSPITALITY, an boutique agency providing hospitality advisory services, covering: project development; feasibility studies; investment and exist strategies; owner representation; operational and commercial advisory as well as management services.In 2019 Rob joined the HRS Group. Initially as SVP Hotel Solutions later Chief Commercial officer and SVP Global Supplier Relations. HRS provides Lodging as a Service solutions through end-to-end hotel portfolio management and bespoke consulting to more than 3,000 corporations globally, including over 35% of the Fortune 500 companies.Rob holds a close relationship with École Hôtelière de Lausanne, where he was member of the International Advisory Board from 2013 till 2015. He has been acting as facilitator of various executive training programs.
