I am now teaching Networking, Operating Systems and Cybersecurity to high school students. In this program I will have the same students for three years, 2.5 hours per day providing them a concentrated computer science program.

Robert Hutchison is the founder and serves as Executive Director for The eNeighborhood Project, a US 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to bring digital resources to the lowest-income countries in Africa. Using low-power solar energy and Wi-Fi networks, as well as optimized software that considers the prohibitively high cost of Internet data, its innovation can be particularly effective in reaching even the most remote communities.In preparation for addressing this market, he took seven extended research trips to 10 countries in Africa, meeting with students, teachers, administrators, Ministers of Education and national-level leaders (such as those in the offices of the President, Prime Minister, Vice President and various cabinet members) to ensure that any intervention met the needs and strategic direction of the country, but were also meaningful and accessible by those in the remote villages. This has given him a deep understanding of the challenges facing these communities allowing him to find effective solutions to address their unique challenges.Robert used the same foundation as Visual Software's Disney cost modeling tool to create a sustainability model that includes everything an educational technology project needs to continue operation indefinitely without additional external support after the initial one-time implementation cost. This was done to demonstrate the long-term sustainability of the intervention.

Robert Hutchison is the founder and president of Visual Software, Inc., a leading provider of no/low-code system interoperability, database management, identity management, and user interface products. As the initial designer of these products and leader of the team that implemented and supported them, he led the effort that enabled schools, school systems, state departments of education, international ministries of education, and software publishers to implement highly scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructures effortlessly, eliminating concerns about standards compliance and complex code interface maintenance. He and his team also designed an AI-based server self-maintenance application that saved the client over $250,000 in its first year.Robert and his team have provided educational software makers and learning organizations at the national, state, and school district levels in the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, and Australia with software and technical support. Robert has been the primary product manager for all six products since their initial version in 2001.In the United States, these products have been used to implement No Child Left Behind at the state level and similar initiatives internationally. These systems were able to handle an interoperability message traffic load of 2 million complex transactions per hour, similar to the volume-handling capability of the SWIFT banking system.Prior to developing the interoperability product line, Visual Software provided advanced mathematical modeling software to actuarial teams such as AON and Towers/Tillinghast, as well as serving as a subcontractor on a highly successful project for Disney, Inc. that created a 14-dimensional mathematical model to predict operating costs for all of their entertainment properties.

Developed a marine terminal container stacking policy and software to implement it that optimized marine terminal container delivery by reducing the number of times a container needs to be moved to a minimum and increasing the throughput of the terminal. Created an algorithm that took into consideration which truckers were waiting in line to receive a container and containers getting added to and removed from the yard from a docked vessel.
