Managing a team of IT professionals responsible for delivering projects and production support to the Finance, Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Human Resources business teams.

Providing IT support for the Finance area of Mattel, including Financial Reporting and Financial, Planning & Analysis, using Oracle-based technologies like Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Oracle cloud-based PBCS, Essbase, and Hyperion Reporting. Liaison between business users and IT resources, including architecture, application development and support, security, and others.Managing 2 Lead Business Analysts, 1 Lead System Analyst, and production support for these applications through a global outsourced support model including 2 onsite production support leads, and 6 offshore support analysts. In addition, I am currently managing 2 projects, including Hyperion Planning, which uses Oracle's PBCS technology for corporate financial planning and the Lease Implementation project, implementing a Lease Cloud application, called Powerplan and manage all aspects of this implementation including RFP process, Project Charter and Planning, Business Requirements, Design, and facilitating SIT and UAT with the vendor.

Business Process OptimizationProject Manager for a Business Process Optimization Project, which enabled a business process outsourcer, Genpact, to perform Mattel's financial operations tasks. Managed the infrastructure setup using VMware VDI and connection to approximately 20 or more internal applications and platforms. Worked with architecture, network, IT Security, application support providers, legal, global procurement, and help desk to get this set up and working. Managed the Project Charter, Project Plan and Budget, as well as requirements, design, and facilitating the UAT, implementation, and post production support. Managed all phases of the project implementation, including reporting status to IT and Business leadership. This project enabled approximately 240 business process outsourcers in India and China secure access to our applications to perform finance operations tasks. High Radius SAAS ImplementationManaged and was Lead Business Analyst for all phases of the US-based implementation of a Customer Deductions Management Cloud Application called High Radius. Performed project planning, SOW planning and implementation, requirements, design, facilitated user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation and post production support. Hyperion Planning Systems UpgradeTo prepare for a data center move from Phoenix to Las Vegas, had to upgrade any systems on old hardware/system software to enable use of the newer system software and architecture. Recognized that these old Hyperion Planning Systems did not use any Hyperion Planning features, so upgraded them to a newer version of Essbase on newer architecture and system software and managed the whole upgrade process. Performed project planning, SOW planning and implementation, requirements, design, facilitated user acceptance testing (UAT), implementation and post production support.

Mattel replaced the old, outdated Hyperion Enterprise Financial Reporting system with Oracle's updated version, Hyperion Financial Management, (HFM). The HFM implementation was a major project for Mattel, broken down into Discovery, Phase 0 - Requirements and Analysis, and Phase 1 - Implementation. I was involved from the very beginning, serving as project manager and IT support in the Discovery phase, working on product evaluations with Global Procurement, managed the development of the initial RFP, researched Oracle's offerings and presented these to higher management, and participated in the development of the project budget, and vendor selection. In Phase 0, I was on the Functional workstream, working side by side with Finance users in developing business flow diagrams, and requirements documents and requirements traceability matrices, and managed the development of the RFP for Phase 1. In Phase 1 - Implementation, I started out on the Testing workstream, working alongside business users and eventually became the Testing Workstream lead, and along with our implementation partner, KPMG, facilitated 5 separate test cycles, that ended with the facilitation of the main User Acceptance testing that resulted in less than 5 defects. I created and presented test strategies, detailed test plans, developed test scripts, and managed defect resolution as well as presenting the testing process to internal audit, as this was a SOX system implementation. In Phase 1, I also managed the vendor selection process for the production support vendor and coordinated the knowledge transition from KPMG and the Mattel project team to the production support vendor.
