I started my work journey as a teacher and coach at both the junior high and high school levels, and continued on that path for ten years, teaching in both Oregon and Montana. After moving back to Oregon from Montana in the late 80`s, I got a job working at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton. I started working as a courier but was soon promoted to the lead position in shipping and receiving at the Nike campus. Due to cutbacks at the time, I was forced to take another path and started to get jobs as a contractor painting, framing new homes, residing, window replacement, etc. This led me into rehabbing forclosed homes for a company based in Newberg, Oregon and eventually led to my moving to Dallas, Texas to rehab homes under the name Hearth and Home Solutions. After some success in the buying and reselling homes the economic downturn in 2008 left me holding properties for an extended period of time, essentially ending that. I again worked as a contractor and eventually found myself working for IFS, a maintenance and construction company. I have since relocated to Orange County, California where I am pursuing jobs in the construction and maintenance management area.
