I live in the micro and macro of philanthropy. I run programs that directly serve individual students and schools, while managing grantmaking portfolios that support a wide range of nonprofit partners. I serve as program staff for several mid-sized family foundations to research areas of interest while also implementing grantmaking strategy. I facilitate trustee meetings and support trustees in identifying their grantmaking mission, vision, goals, and strategies. I manage several college scholarship programs that operate at the local, state, and national level and provide scholarships, mentoring, events, and flexible funding for some truly incredible young people.

Partnered with external professional organizations to provide resources to services.• Event Management: Hosted networking opportunities for sector programs, supported students in hosting school-wide conferences• Student Support: Created the Dean's Fellowship in Social Impact for undergraduate students with in an interest in social impact within the business world. Coordinated the recruitment, application process and yearly programming for the Fellowship including career panels, site visits, mentorship matching and community building opportunities.• Administration: Tracked the budget and managed accounting for ten sector budgets.

• Taught in the Extended Learning Day at Orchard Gardens K-8 Pilot School in Roxbury, MA.• Counseled 8th grade students through the high school application process including interview prep, essay writing, professional etiquette skills and financial applications.• Worked with a partner teacher to teach 8th grade American History to English Language Learners. • Launched an 8th grade Writing Program tutoring site in partnership with Fidelity Investments.• Planned college trips, weekly curriculum and student incentive events including a College to Career Connections curriculum, FUNdraising curriculum, and trips to Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology & Hamilton College.• Created and implemented a recruitment, selection and training process for Citizen Schools students nationwide to attend Citizen Schools' annual Hill Day in Washington, D.C. Planned and oversaw student activities during this three-day trip including student meetings with Congressional representatives.

Managed payroll for more than one hundred student workers, created and maintained organizational structures for payroll records and conducted research projects on various service organizations in the Lorain County area.

• Coordinated the involvement of public charter school students in Summer School Graduation and ensured more than 90% of eligible students attended both rehearsals and graduation.• Researched future finance options for Afterschool programs via grants, private organizations and community building. Wrote a final research paper on my findings and presented it to the director of Out of School Time. • Ensured the quality of Summer School by evaluating programs for content & quality and organizing the shipment and collection of curriculum materials.• Sat on the Social Committee and Alumni Relations Sub-committee to plan networking events with current Associates and past Associates working in the field of education.

Recruited volunteers, led weekly volunteer opportunities and canvasses and phone banked alongside my volunteers in support of the candidate. Managed data and other statistical information regarding our volunteer and canvassing efforts.
