I have had the opportunity to work for four Fortune 500 companies during my career: (1) AK Steel Corporation, (2) GE Aircraft Engines on contract through Employer's Trust, (3) Great American Life Insurance Company and (4) Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Additionally, I have worked in the public finance department at Squire Patton Boggs (formerly, Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P), as well as in the financial services industry having worked for BISYS Fund Services (now Citi Fund Services Ohio, Inc.) and Beacon Hill Fund Services. This breadth of experience has provided me with the opportunity to work and collaborate with, and learn from, many talented corporate executives, investment professionals, attorneys, elected officials and others from diverse skilled backgrounds.Each respective company that I have worked for has been in a varied stage of growth, which has brought with it unique challenges and opportunities. The financial, operational, technical and communication skills and resources needed to navigate a company through the various stages differ. Through professional, educational and other learning opportunities I am able to provide a valuable outside perspective to an organization. Along with professional and educational experiences, I have had the privilege of being invited to join a leadership mastermind group. This group provides the platform to study issues faced by individuals and companies alike, and discuss positive ways to address those issues. By group discussion each participant learns from each others' experience. Leadership requires ongoing and intentional learning.
