About Robin Bennett

25 years of doing music festivals, as a songwriter/perfomer, and supporter of environmental causes.Since 2019 I've been an Green Party councillor in South Oxfordshire District, and since 2020Joint Deputy Leader of the council.Since May 2021 I've also been a Green Party county councillor in Oxfordshire.I co-founded Truck Festival in 1998, and WOOD Festival in 2008.Other events I've created include: Harvest, OX4, Truck America, UniTruck, and Septembersong.As a songwriter I've written for my own bands The Dreaming Spires, Bennett Wilson Poole, Goldrush and Dusty Sound System, as well as co-writes with Sarah Cracknell (Saint Etienne), Mark Gardener (Ride) and Danny George Wilson.I'm currently a trustee of the Berin Centre, Berinsfield. I was previously a trustee of Siren Conservation Education.
