- Executive Director of non-profit consulting organization that provides affordable housing development, asset management training and technical assistance, and affordable housing policy research and development and Executive Director of related Community Development Financial Institution which provides loans to mission driven developers of community facilities and affordable housing.With almost 30 years of experience, I have directly developed or overseen the development of more than 8,000 units of affordable housing and numerous community facilities, as a private consultant, manager of the City of Portland Rental Housing programs, and as director of Housing Development Center (HDC). At HDC, I have overseen development, lending and asset management services serving more than 75 nonprofits and housing authorities across the northwest.I present regularly on current issues and best practices in asset management and affordable housing, both regionally and nationally. As a sub-consultant to NeighborWorks America, I have facilitated workshops and regional convenings in asset management. As an affordable housing advocate and affordable housing expert, I have been an active board member of the Oregon Opportunity Network, sit on the board of a nonprofit organization serving agricultural workers, and through HDC, work on key advocacy efforts and policy initiatives in Oregon and Washington.
