CurrentIn addition to the expected roles in the classroom, I also reinvent the wheel regularly with regards to the content I use to teach with. I am a natural problem solver and teaching hack coach. Like all of my esteemed colleagues, I work to help my charges succeed and also make it as painless as possible! In another life I must’ve been a career or life coach and motivational speaker all in one. It’s what I love about the education domain- there are so many ways to learn and there’s no end to creativity if you can find the energy (and budget… it must be said)!Briefly: I create visuals and manipulatives, create themed units based on pedagogical requirements and I share freely with my coworkers. While teaching is largely a sales job (the learners have to want and then buy into and then assimilate what you’re “selling” aka information and logic etc.), in a perfect world I want to advise, create and encourage outside of the classroom at least until there’s some order back in this industry.
