Managed business office of 60 staff members and 5 supervisors. • Restructured and reorganized cash posting department enabling staff to complete postings same day.• Cross trained staff in contract variance allowing for department restructuring creating 4 additional insurance collectors.• Established multi department processes streamlining organ and bone marrow transplant billing.• Analyzed and optimized multi source Research billing workflow.• Weekly meetings with CFO and senior leadership to discuss high dollar and high length of stay accounts. • Monthly meetings with payor representatives to discuss ongoing and new issues in payment lag times, underpayments, recoveries, and audits.• Single contract negotiations with insurance companies when standing contract did not exist or they met qualifications for additional discounts. • Responsible for managing FTE hours approved and payroll.
