Senior Content, Subject Matter Expert In Marine Engineering.Calian Group May 2022 - Oct 2023770 Palladium Drive, Ottawa, On K2V 1C8While “remotely” employed with Calian my main tasking was to review the current Marine Engineering Training program presently taught in the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy). This tasking included the reviewing of most Marine Engineering courses currently taught at both East and West coast Fleet Schools. This review would start by first reviewing the “Qualification Standard and Plans” (or course syllabus), Master Lesson plans, and finally by monitoring the instructor teaching the actual course in real time (remotely via web cam).I would then provide feedback for all the above on accuracy, relevance, and method of deliver. This feedback along with other SME’s feedback would then be collected into a final report and sent back to the Navy to be used as a guide for course improvement. I immensely enjoyed my time with Calian and the Canadian Navy and I hope future contracts with the Navy are forth coming. -
