  The TSEC Library Technician works with a team of coordinators and teachers to ensure access to the Treaty Six Education Resource Centre’s print and online collections in their school division. Main duty focus is on Treaty, Language and Culture of First Nation (Aboriginal) peoples and includes documents and content in all formats. Typical duties include: maintenance of the IPAC cataloging system and the L4U library software in order to ensure accurate representation of the library’s holdings; processes and catalogues materials and equipment; maintains usage reports for TSEC Trustees; encourages usage of Sk Learning websites including ROVER, Google Classroom and First Nation links; assists teachers in achieving their year and unit plans; performs tasks related to the check-in and out of materials; knowledgeable in library web pages related to databases and e-journals; navigates vendor and/or publisher websites; orders materials from vendor and/or publishing companies; knowledge of the structure of bibliographic records and MARC standards; researches new material consistent with the Treaty Curriculum 2015 and the Sk Learning Education Curriculum; collaborates with others to solve problems; assist the Aboriginal Teacher Education Program (ATEP) students with materials for class assignments; set up and promote library materials at professional development opportunities; confers with Project Manager regarding budgets and strategic plan.
